UIC students and faculty can pick up a physical copy of our cookbook zine in the CLJ GA office on the fourth floor of BSB. If you are a community member and you would like a physical copy, please email allysondl@proton.me to coordinate information so that we can mail a copy to you.
Want to support our project?
We are accepting mutual aid contributions to help support our upcoming “graduation” ceremonies that we hold inside of the women’s division in the jail. We are 100% volunteer-run, and we have a small budget from the university during school terms, but we often pay for our summer graduation out of pocket. These funds allow us to purchase food (think: pizza from a restaurant and cookies/veggie trays/drinks/chips from the store), and necessary supplies, including certificate paper, napkins, and paper plates.
As incarcerated people have such harsh restrictions on their access to enjoyable food, these graduations are the highlight of our program for many students.
If you would like to contribute to our mutual aid efforts and you are a UIC student or faculty member, you can drop off a cash contribution in the CLJ GA office on the fourth floor of BSB.
